The Environmental Law Foundation’s David Hall Memorial Conversation with Chris Packham and Mya-Rose Craig, chaired by Carol Day

Tuesday 1st November 2022, 6.30pm, University College London

The Environmental Law Foundation (ELF) marks its 30th Anniversary this year. A charity set up to address the inequality of resources held by communities threatened with environmental challenges, ELF gives ordinary people a voice in the environmental decisions that affect them for the benefit of current and future generations. Through the proviso of free legal support and advice, ELF has established a community of pro-bono lawyers and scientists, ELF’s professional network, willing to give their time to communities for free.

ELF was at the forefront of the pro-bono revolution bringing together the environmental law profession and communities. More recently ELF has pioneered the establishment of a pro-bono university environmental clinic network bringing together communities and universities, students and law academics. We wanted to do something special to celebrate ELF’s 30 years of being and are relaunching our annual David Hall memorial lectures in a new conversation format.

This year we are delighted to be welcoming Chris Packham and Mya-Rose Craig for a conversation on “Standing up for Nature - Harnessing the power of local communities” to be chaired by Carol Day.

The conversation will be followed by a reception.

The event is free to attend but places must be booked which you can do here.
